Sunday the first day of the week and the Three R s

Sunday the first day of the week and the Three R s

It is Sunday today.
For me it is the first day of the week, a time for rejuvenation, rest and reflection.

I have always wished that nothing was open and that everyone was able to just be,
in my youth I remember church in the morning and than chicken dinner at Grandma’s.
With all the women standing in a line washing dishes while the men and boys slept through the baseball game because they had already put in a full mornings chores before church.
It is a wonderful memory.
Now the few Sundays I do have for the three R’s are so much more precious.

A favorite Excerpt of mine from Daily Word for Women for my thought for Sunday.

Our objective is to learn how to use the power of though in such a way that it will help to make our dreams come true. - Stella Terrill Mann

When I allow myself to do nothing but rest in the presence of God, I think thoughts that bless me.
I relax and know that giving my time to God is the greatest investment I can make.

When I give my attention to God, I am preparing myself for whatever is ahead.
Whenever change occurs, I understand that it is a turning point which leads me to new opportunities, such as moving up or moving on in my career, forming new friendships or renewing ones that are already established.

What is most important for me to remember is that each quiet moment with God is an opportunity for spiritual renewal.

Today is a turning point which leads to new opportunities. Rest, rejuvenate and reflect than create and make it happen!

Blessings to everyone this Sunday, find time for the three R’s. Wendy

Creativity, Art workshops and Inspiration

I am so cold today! It is beautiful and very brisk.
The snow is bright, and the wind is wisping it against our studio barn buildings.
My husband and I collaborate on the same canvas and we are happily working in the studio with our dogs keeping the world on the outside for the moment.
Our Master Mind Meeting (my sister and a girlfriend) was canceled for the morning because of the cold so I am hoping to inspire creatively here.

What is your major issue with becoming an artist?
Mine is striving to be a better communicator and entrepreneur.

One of my favorite Coaches is Alyson Stanfield of Artbizcoach.
Her inspiration for me today was to be an Entrepreneurial Artist and not a self employed artist.
That your art is the basis for multiple streams of income. That you are ready to break some rules and find your won way of doing things.
That you are building a legacy in your art!
Definitely check her out.

Our art studio is on our family farm in a very rural area, my husband came from the east coast and graduated from the Maryland Institute of Art and I showed him the endless beauty and peace of our area and he fell in love.
The isolation from artists can be a bit overwhelming so I started having art classes and hope to get as many people as possible to try something new and pick up a pencil and a paint brush. So far so good!

Thursdays through this winter season we are scheduling Paint and Draw with the Artists!

People who want to create art purely for the love of doing something fun and different, that have never had the chance, place or camaraderie to do it are coming!
We simply want to encourage people to develop their artistic side and creative abilities. Sharing is a great Joy.
